
Trains are still the most popular mode of Transport in India. India also hosts world’s largest Railway Network with Millions of commuters choosing trains over airlines and road travel.
In the heart of New Delhi (Chanakyapuri) is the Indian Railway Museum which hosts all the classical coaches, steam engines, diesel engines, and even modern electrical engines.
The Museum focuses on the rail heritage of India, it opened on the 1 February 1977. It is located in over 10 acres (40,000 m2) of land with both indoor and outdoor exhibits. A toy train offers rides around that site on regular days.
